Richard M. McVey
Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board


Richard M. McVey, has been Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of our Board of Directors since our inception. As an employee of J.P. Morgan & Co., one of our founding broker-dealers, Mr. McVey was instrumental in the founding of MarketAxess in April 2000. Prior to founding MarketAxess, Mr. McVey was Managing Director and Head of North America Fixed Income Sales at JPMorgan, where he managed the institutional distribution of fixed-income securities to investors, from 1996 until April 2000. In that capacity, he was responsible for developing and maintaining senior client relationships across all market areas, including fixed-income, equities, emerging markets, foreign exchange and derivatives. From 1992 to 1996, Mr. McVey led JPMorgan's North America Futures and Options Business, including institutional brokerage, research, operations, finance and compliance. Mr. McVey received a B.A. in Finance from Miami (Ohio) University and an M.B.A. from Indiana University.

 



T. Kelley Millet
President


Kelley Millet is President of MarketAxess Holdings Inc, a position he assumed in September 2006.  Prior to joining MarketAxess, Mr. Millet was Senior Managing Director, Co-Head of Global Credit Trading responsible for origination, syndication, cash, derivatives and flow trading for the investment grade and emerging markets businesses, as well as high-yield derivatives at Bear Stearns & Co. Inc.  At Bear Stearns, Mr. Millet was integral in merging the cash and credit default swaps businesses on a global basis and was a member of the fixed-income management committee.

Prior to joining Bear Stearns in 2001, Mr. Millet had a 19-year career with JP Morgan where he held positions of increasing responsibility, culminating in his appointment as Global Head, Capital Markets and Syndicate.

Mr. Millet received a B.A. in Economics from Amherst College in Amherst, MA, where he was Captain of the football and wrestling teams.

 



Antonio L. DeLise
Chief Financial Officer


Antonio L. DeLise has been Chief Financial Officer since March 2010. Prior to his current role, Mr. DeLise, was Head of Finance and Accounting at MarketAxess, where he was responsible for financial regulatory compliance and oversight of all controllership and accounting functions. Prior to joining MarketAxess in July 2006, Mr. DeLise served for 11 years as Chief Financial Officer of PubliCard, Inc., a publicly-traded diversified manufacturing, technology and engineering services company. In addition, Mr. DeLise served as President/CEO of PubliCard from 2002-2006. From July 1983 through March 1995, he worked for Arthur Andersen LLP as a senior auditor and senior manager, overseeing multi-national audit engagements for clients within the telecommunications, manufacturing and service industries. Mr. DeLise graduated magna cum laude from Fairfield University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting.

 



Nicholas Themelis
Chief Information Officer


Nick Themelis has been Chief Information Officer since February 2005. Prior to his current position he was Head of Technology and Product Delivery. From March 2004 to June 2004, Mr. Themelis was Head of Product Delivery. Prior to joining us, Mr. Themelis was a Principal at Promontory Group, an investment and advisory firm focused on the financial services sector, from Oct 2003 to March 2004. From March 2001 to August 2003, Mr. Themelis was a Managing Director, Chief Information Officer for North America and Global Head of Fixed Income Technology at Barclay's Capital. From March 2000 to March 2001, Mr. Themelis was the Chief Technology Officer and a member of the board of directors of AuthentiDate Holdings Corp., a start-up focused on developing leading edge content and encryption technology. Prior to his tenure at AuthentiDate, Mr. Themelis spent nine years with Lehman Brothers, most recently as Senior Vice President and Global Head of the E-Commerce Technology Group and prior as Chief Information Officer for Lehman, Asia where he spent 6 years in HK and Tokyo.

Early in his career, Mr. Themelis worked at Morgan Stanley as a software developer.

 



James N.B. Rucker
Chief Operations, Credit and Risk Officer


James N.B. Rucker has been Chief Operations, Credit and Risk Officer since March 2010. Prior to his current role, Mr. Rucker was Chief Financial Officer since June 2004. From our formation in April 2000 through June 2004, Mr. Rucker was Head of Finance and Operations. Before joining MarketAxess Mr. Rucker spent 20 years at Chase Manhattan Bank. From January 1995 to April 2000, he was Vice President and Head of International Fixed Income Operations at Chase, where he was responsible for the settlement of international securities, loan, option and structured trades. He also was a Director of the Emerging Markets Clearing Corporation from 1999 to 2000. Mr. Rucker received a B.S. in Economics and Politics from Bristol University, England in 1978.

 



Cordelia Boise
Head of Human Resources


Cordelia Boise has been Head of Human Resources since February 2002. Prior to joining us, Ms. Boise was a Human Resources Consultant to BrokerTec USA LLC, which operates a government securities electronic inter-dealer broker, from December 2001 to February 2002. From December 2000 to December 2001, Ms. Boise was Director of Human Resources at BondBook Holdings, LLC. From September 1995 to December 2000, Ms. Boise was Director of Human Resources at Arrow Electronics, Inc., an electronic components and computer products distributor. From 1987 to 1995 Ms. Boise worked for Chase Manhattan Bank, in various capacities. Ms. Boise graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Psychology from Lehigh University and holds a Certificate in Human Resource Management from New York University.

 



Charles R. Hood
General Counsel


Charles R. Hood has been General Counsel since September 2001 and is responsible for all legal and regulatory matters affecting us and our affiliates. Prior to joining us, Mr. Hood was Senior Vice President and Senior Equities Counsel for the Equities division at Lehman Brothers Inc. from September 1998 to August 2001. At Lehman Brothers, he managed a department responsible for providing legal, regulatory and compliance support to a wide range of domestic and international securities units and also advised the Equities e-commerce group regarding strategic investments. Prior to his tenure at Lehman Brothers, Mr. Hood was General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer for the Instinet Group of equity securities electronic trading companies from December 1985 until August 1998. Mr. Hood began his legal career at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft in New York City, where he specialized in general corporate and securities law. Mr. Hood received an A.B. from the College of William & Mary, an M.B.A. from the Northwestern University Graduate School of Management and a J.D. from Notre Dame Law School.

 



Richard J. Schiffman
Head of Business Development and Strategy


Richard Schiffman has been with the company since its inception in April 2000 and is currently the Head of Business Development & Strategy, responsible for identifying strategic growth opportunities for the company.  Richard has held several key roles for the Company prior to assuming his current role in August of 2005, including serving as Head of Information Services, Investment Grade Trading Product Manager and Chief Technology Officer.  Immediately prior to joining us, Richard was Vice President and Manager of Fixed Income Research Technology at J.P. Morgan, where he was employed in a variety of positions from March 1992 to April 2000.

Richard holds a BA in Economics from Rutgers University and an MBA in Finance and Information Systems from the Stern School of Business at New York University.

 



Stephen Gallagher
Head of Europe


Stephen Gallagher is the Head of Europe, responsible for managing all European business initiatives out of our London office, a position he assumed in September 2007. Stephen first joined MarketAxess as Head of Dealer Services in May 2006. Prior to joining MarketAxess, Mr. Gallagher was Head of High Grade Trading at Wachovia Securities responsible for cash, credit default swaps, private placements, emerging markets and crossover trading.  Prior to joining Wachovia Securities in 2004, Mr. Gallagher held similar positions with Banc of America Securities, Bear Stearns and Merrill Lynch from 1987-2003.  Mr. Gallagher began his career with Kidder, Peabody & Co in 1983 after serving as a Captain in the U.S. Army in Texas and Germany from 1979-1983.

Mr. Gallagher received a B.S. in Accounting from LaSalle University in Philadelphia, PA.
